Brenton L. Saunders (“Brent”) is a world renowned CEO, executive chairperson, and philanthropist passionate about transforming industries, maximizing shareholder return, and making medical care more accessible to those in need.

Brent is best known for the globally recognized consumer-facing brands he’s built, as well as his industry-shaping M&A activities in the medical aesthetic, biomedical, and health-related industries, with deal-volume exceeding $300B in under 20 years. Brent is married to Daniela Botero, and they have three daughters: Amanda, Maya, and Ilana. Brent is currently the Chairman and CEO of Bausch + Lomb Corporation. In addition to his primary role, Brent is Chairman of The Beauty Health Company, Chairman of Roam, on the executive committee of Mt. Sinai Medical Center, and is on the board of ARS Pharmaceuticals, Cambrian Bio, and OcuTerra.

Brent is directly responsible for some of the most valuable consumer brands including Botox, Claritin, Coppertone, Juvéderm, Dr. Scholls, Renu Multipurpose Solution, Lumify, Miralax, BioTrue, Coolsculpting, SkinMedica, and Hydrafacial, among others.

In the past, Brent held key executive and board roles at Cisco, BridgeBio Pharma, Vesper Healthcare Acquisitions Company, The Beauty Health Company, Allergan/Actavis, Forest Laboratories, Bausch + Lomb Inc., Schering-Plough/Merck, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Jefferson Health, Home Care Corporation, and Coventry Health Care.

At Schering-Plough, Brent played key roles which later culminated in its merger with Merck & Co. Subsequently, he steered Bausch + Lomb Inc. through significant restructuring, eventually leading to its acquisition by Valeant Pharmaceuticals. His leadership prowess continued at Forest Laboratories, which was later acquired by Actavis. After this merger, Brent helmed Actavis, which would further go on to adopt the name Allergan after acquiring the original company.

PHILANTHROPIC WORK

Throughout his life, Brent sought to make healthcare more accessible to those in need, specifically focusing on mental health after having personally experienced the effects of extreme fatigue.

For over 14 years, Brent has been involved in Community Hope, Inc., which provides mental health support and services to youth, veterans, and families. Brent is also Leadership Chair of Community’s Sparkle of Hope, their yearly fundraising event. Brent recently began working with the Child Mind Institute and the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research to expand the impact of his efforts across a broader set of audiences and needs.
